I was trying to install Kaspersky Security Cloud, but it wouldn't let me continue downloading the app after running the setup app since it said Avira Launcher (generic) was still installed in my computer. I think I am going to have to do a complete wipe of my computer to completely remove Avira who should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage people. Avira seems to be exactly what they are supposedly trying to protect users from. Pop ups, always trying to upsell their service, not providing any protection besides a scan, no customer support for people who don't pay for their service, hidden files which are very hard to find, not allowing the installation of other protective software, etc. There must be a way to disable the Avira Launcher which will hopefully allow people to install other protective software, but even if that works, Avira will still be on their computer.Īvira seems just like malware to me.
